We had a busy week!

Jack had a great time hanging out with Auntie Susie, and we were all sad to see her go back to Michigan.

Jack also hung out with Heather.

And learned how to hold a bat.

And met his new friend, Ava VZ (due dates originally about one week apart).

And watched some Lakers v. Nuggets basketball with the VZ boys.

And turned TWO MONTHS OLD! Jack had his two month check up on Friday. We were shocked to learn that he weighed 8 lbs. 2 oz. and is over 21 inches long. His measurements put him in the lowest percentiles for two month-olds born full term. So, he's already catching up. The doctor said that he's doing "great", and we feel very blessed to have such a healthy, growing baby boy.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

As we celebrate Ben's birthday this week, I can't help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude for his life. I am so lucky to be married to this great husband, teacher, coach, worship leader, friend... and now, DADDY to our Jack. Happy Birthday, Babe. I love you!

Baptism

We had the joy of having Jack baptized last Sunday. We were blessed by the presence and support of our family and friends.

The blanket was used at Ben's baptism also.

Our little boy was weighed last week and he's over seven pounds! He's growing like crazy, staying awake a little bit more (sometimes at night...boo), and becoming more interactive. We are excited for his baptism tomorrow night!

He's growing!! This is evident in his double chin and even in his tiny feet. We haven't weighed him in over a week, but we think he's somewhere around 6 lbs-6 lbs. 4 oz.

Almost six pounds!!

Jack is getting bigger. He weighed 5 lbs. 11 oz. when he was weighed on Tuesday and he's gaining about an ounce a day. Here are some of the latest pics:

His cousins Emma, Meg, and Jonathan all held him last week Saturday.

We're still getting used to life with Jack at home, but we're loving it. His eating schedule is pretty established. He eats every three hours, almost on the the dot. He's generally pretty happy except when he's hungry. He's certainly a joy.
