We are 26 weeks into our pregnancy with Baby D #2.
Here's the most current pic of the growing baby bump.

The first trimester was good, with no nausea or vomiting (same as last time). My only real "symptom" that has lasted into the second trimester has been a strong gag reflex when brushing my teeth or swallowing vitamins (same as last time). I've been getting quite a bit more medical attention throughout this pregnancy in attempt to avoid another pre-term delivery. I go to a perinatal specialty clinic every Wednesday to get a progesterone injection, which are mildy uncomfortable. I have been experiencing mild contractions for several weeks, which sent me to the hospital one evening for a few hours. Since then I carry a bottle of prescription meds that I take only as needed to help stop the contractions if they are coming too frequently. Bed rest has been mentioned, but thankfully so far with the shots, meds, and being careful to take things a little easier, I've been able to continue working. Ben has been extremely helpful and encouraging. The best news is that everything looks "perfect" with the baby. Our ultrasound tech said at the 20 week ultrasound that she wished she had a student sitting in so they could see what a perfect baby looks like. WOW! That made us proud! :) We did find out the gender at the ultrasound, but have decided to keep it a secret til the little one arrives, which has been hard but fun for us. Here are the pics we were given of our precious little babe.

While we are so eager to meet Jack's baby sibling, we are praying that baby stays put until just the right time. Until then, we are trying to chip away at our checklist of things to get done before the baby comes. And we are treasuring our time with each other and Jack, knowing that attention will soon be divided. Please pray with us that the remainder of this pregnancy would go smoothly and that we would all make the transition {to a family of FOUR!} with ease.
